Q: Let’s start simple. How would you describe your current style?
A: Your mom from the early 90's.
Q: How has your style changed throughout the years?
A: I am much more athletic/preppy than I used to be.
Q: Has a personal event impacted your style /confidence?
A: Yes! I once taught a group of 500+ women at The Grove in LA. When I was up on that stage teaching, watching everyone smile, sweat and move together and I felt more alive than I ever have in my life! It was at that moment that I started to own my confidence and unapologetically in love with myself.
Q: What piece of clothing brings you the most joy?
A: A vintage sweatshirt thrown over my shoulders with my chunky white socks and dad sneakers.
Q: What brings you the most confidence?
A: Teaching! There is something beautiful about connecting with women and moving together, not just physically but moving through the emotional shifts that happen when you are in a community.
Q: What is most important to you in how you feel in an outfit?
A: The way it makes me feel! If I put on a fit and am rocking it, it will show in my energy and how I carry myself. I also love inspiring other women to rock their shape/size/curves and feel confident in the clothes they wear.
Q: If you had a uniform what would it be?
A: Chunky socks, white dad sneakers (Nike Teknos), biker shorts, white crop tee, black blazer and a baseball cap. Gold hoops and a gold chain are a must.
Q: How do you approach accessorizing?
A: If I don't have gold hoops on, I feel naked.
Q: Do you have a getting ready ritual?
A: Turn on some punk rock princess jams, dance in my room & use my hairbrush as a microphone. I might even pretend to walk down a runway.
Q: If you had one piece of advice for discovering your personal style, what would it be?
A: Wear what makes you feel alive, sexy, and confident. Who cares what other people think? Dress for you!
